Scouts

Ok, time for a moment from my cub scout, bear den leader, mommy heart ...
We are so blessed to have a wonderful group of talented moms who make things for our stores!
Today I want to feature a new section that we will have for the next couple of months:
Cub Scout Mom/Leader Gifts!

These are a couple hand made cards that are made by a Tolono mom, "Handmade by Tag".  We sell a number of her adorable cards in Monticello, and we asked that she come up with some special edition "Scout" cards!
We now have the scout cards in both stores, along with some beautiful sterling silver and 24K gold jewelry by the designer Priscilla G.
I'm also looking forward to introducing you all to a wonderful jewelry maker (and mommy) that lives just outside of Homer, Susan Harbourt!  She makes very unique copper jewelry and she is working on some pieces with the fleur de lis symbol for scout moms and leader gifts.  I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

I just love to work with other moms!

Long day in Homer today... er.. yesterday - it's 2am!

I won't even try to spell correctly this late at night :)
I wanted to get some pictures posted before I crash, because I am SLEEPING IN! haha
This is how we left the store tonight, so we still have a lot of work to do tomorrow to get everything put back together - but we have wonderful people to help!

Day of work in Monticello

Today was a solid day of work in Monticello!
The bathroom used to be a gold flecked 60's nightmare and the ceiling was a horrible yellowed color with a hole around the light. Now, I have my first coat of Kilz and a better light fixture and it's already looking a TON better! Color comes next!!!

I love it when store's hours are LARGE enough to be seen from the road! Now our hours will be more visible... boy was it freezing cold when we were doing this outside today :)
