Free fun thing to do with kids

Ok, I admit... I am spending a lot of time at Home Depot lately while we are working on the new store in Monticello.  While we were there the other day, I saw a great FREE "clinic" they offer for kids ages 5-12.
"The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin."

Kinda cool, as a mom of 4 I am always looking for fun free stuff!

August 1st they are making a message center.

Let's clear out of all this summer clothes and make room for the fall and winter grand opening next Saturday!  All children's summer clothing is 75% off!  But hurry, it won't be here for long!

Brand new item in the store!

Undercover, a low cut accessory!
Visit www.undercoverusa.com to see this fun new product that you can find at the Village Wardrobe.  Soon you will be able to find these in stores across the nation, but you can say that you bought yours at the Village Wardrobe.  You can also purchase them from the online store portion of our website, just indicate the size and color!

Undercover history...
Our story starts with an energetic mother-daughter team, Kelly and Kate. We have been involved in our family business of manufacturing for a major motorcycle brand for over 20 years. We have a good background in making high quality products.

One Christmas, my daughter wanted to wear this cute little black dress but it was just too low-cut. There had to be a solution: it was just too cute. That night Kate went to sleep dreaming about what to do, and the next day showed me a concept. I sewed up a couple of samples with some clips we ordered and yes, we had a simple but sure answer. We knew if we had a need, so did others, lots of others.

We spent the next two long years fine tuning the Undercover Low Cut Accessory, working up the packaging, web site, and doing surveys to find out how to best meet our customers needs.

We are proud to have a great product to offer the apparel industry- and we are very pleased to employ American workers right here in the Midwest.

A new location for Village Wardrobe is coming in August!

The Village Wardrobe will soon have a second location opening on the Square in Monticello.  The new store will be similar to the Homer location, but will have an expanded selection of boutique clothing as well.  You can expect to find discounted prices on such names as Giggle Moon, Haven Girl, Genuine Rose, My Vintage Baby, and more!  Look for a store opening the first week of August!
If you would like to consign in Monticello, we will begin taking consignments by appointment July 20th, call 369-8436 to set up a time!  We will be accepting fall & winter children's clothing sizes infant through 12, maternity, toys, & equipment.
