Christmas time is here!

It's been a crazy first week of December!  We've met all kinds of new people who have ventured out to the small town and checked out our little stores :)  Thank you!

I LOVE Usborne Books!

I have loved them as a child, and my 3 feet high stack of Usborne books shows lots of "love". 20 years later, my kids are enjoying them as we are using them in our homeschool!
In my opinion, Usborne is to books what Melissa and Doug is to toys. They are educational, high quality, and can keep the attention of any child much longer than the competition.
I have just received an initial order of Kid Kits, Sticker Books, Activity Cards, and Christmas Books! You can find them in both Homer and Monticello!

Black Friday is coming....

Well, we are preparing for an exciting "Black Friday", the day after Thanksgiving!

We have some very wonderful new Christmas gifts for all ages, including terrific teacher gifts!  We are spending the next two weeks getting things priced and ready to go out on the selling floor.

This Christmas season, we will have an entire section of the store that showcases tons of gifts that are $10 and UNDER!  Black Friday will be our "unveiling" of these items, but you can take advantage of them all the way until December 23rd!

Monticello Main Street Event, This Friday night!

The shops and galleries on Courthouse Square will be celebrating First Friday with a wonderful Wine and Cheese Shopwalk. Many of Monticello's unique shops and galleries will be offering visitors free wine and cheese between 6pm and 830pm on Friday, November 6th.

Walking the historic square and enjoying each merchant will be a memorable way to experience the romance and warmth of Monticello. Follow the signs around Courthouse Square to check-in and begin your walk.

Long time...no posts... :)

Well, it's been a crazy summer with the start of a new store, movie nights, and festivals with the popcorn truck!  Everyone needs a vacation sometime, and our time was now :)  We took an extended time off and went on a road trip up the coast of Maine to visit family.  Sorry for the long break between blogs, but we needed a break and vacation was worth it! lol.

We're back now and really excited about some cool plans that we have begun for the Christmas season, see you around!

5-7pm Truck 4 Treats

Participants will park their vehicles at the community building and the children can trick-or-treat from the trucks of the vehicles. This provides a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience for all!

7-9pm Stay for a bonfire, hayride, best costume contests, food, and music DJ by Tom Wolf!

Upcoming Movie Nights!

It's beautiful weekend coming up! 75 degrees on Saturday! I'm thinking it will be PERFECT weather for an outdoor movie night in Downtown Homer, wanna come? We will be playing the Disney/Pixar "Cars" movie. Come down for a FREE night of family fun at the grassy lot on the corner of Main and First streets. Make sure you come hungry because we will have hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, cotton candy, and glass-bottled sodas! Make it a celebration of school starting and the ending of the summer fun...

I know it's taken me a week now, but I am finally starting to recuperate from all the activity of starting the store! Thank you to everyone who has come by to be a consignor, shopper, or to just say "hello". Everyone has been very welcoming! Here are some pictures from opening day!
